Sandra & Lars

old factory weddings

Our vintage romantic wedding.

We got married on 13th May 2015 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Our wedding was small and intimate, with only 8 family members as our guests. We planned the whole wedding in only a month, because Sandra’s mother was seriously ill at that time. She couldn’t attend the wedding itself, but she was able to see the video and photos. It was so important to all of us!!! Sadly, she passed away 10 days after the wedding.

Neither of us bought anything in an official bridal store, most was ordered online. I found the dress first, and fell in love with the ivory & champagne colour and the vintage feel. I matched everything else with the dress, including golden shoes and the headpiece by Fancy Bowtique Bridal Couture.

Lars wore all denim, as he wears a suit daily to his work and wanted to look like himself on our wedding day.

The venue was in a Dutch city called Eindhoven. This city is the place where Philips was founded and grew to it’s current size. There are a lot of old factory buildings from the past century left empty, but the city is redeveloping the whole area. New companies and artists are allowed to settle there.

Our wedding took place in an old factory which is now used by a Dutch designer, Piet Hein Eeek. They created a pretty area for the wedding ceremony and we had a nice private dinner afterwards. Most of our photos were taken in the factory and the industrial area around it by Silvisual fotografie. The factory is used as a showroom at present.

We loved the combination of old industry and romantic vintage. It turned out really pretty in the pictures! We got our dream wedding!
